I just read my cuz's blog and I just had to put up a post of my own. Obama won and this is a good thing. First we get someone in office who will help get health care for everyone. Stem cell research will get funding again and maybe we could find a cure for Zach. Another thing is he may start to end this war, that we should have never been in this long. We are defending a country who is generating a surplus in their economy, while our country is losing money hand over fist. W. has been the worst prez in history, that is a fact!!! In 8 yrs. we have lost all our allies, scientific research, thousands of soldiers, the WTC buildings, good gas prices, ect. ect. Bush you suck!!!! The country is thankful not just for Obama winning but for the end of W. in Washington.

I'm glad Obama won too and agree with your viewpoints. However, you could have left the Bush sucks portion out. Some things are better left unsaid!
I hope you're right. Even if I'm not as optimistic about some of the ways he intends to do things (I just don't trust the government to oversee my health care), I look forward to what the next four years brings. And I hope that Obama is an awesome president. He is clearly an inspiring speaker and a charismatic leader.
The Bush thing - well, the country wasn't all that upset 7 years ago when he had one of the highest approval ratings in history or four years ago when the majority gave him another 4. And sorry if I'm not one of the conspiracy theorists who can put blame on him for the WTC attacks.
He may not be the greatest president ever, but several of the issues you mentioned don't just happen in the span of an 8 year presidency. They were a long time in the making. No matter who leads, it may just be the system itself that is a little bit broken. Just sayin.
Bobby, Bush had one of the lowest approval ratings of ALL TIME!! He won the first election from Florida in a very questionable way. (And he only got a second term cuz the country was at war.) Our own grandparents couldn't find a way to defend this guy.
