Christmas

Zach never let's Zoey play with his footballs so Santa brought her one.

Well, we hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, we certainly did! John and Linda came over at 7:00 am Christmas morning to watch the kids open presents. It is so nice that they come over and watch the kids, Zach looks forward to it. Then we went to my parents for an early dinner. It was a wonderful day! Zach even said how he had such a great day and how he couldn't believe he got everything he wanted. Santa brought him "Rock Band" for the Wii, it is so fun!! Zoey got a little kitchen from Santa. Zach also got a Nintendo DS, with some games from us and Grandma and Grandpa Romero. At my parents house Zoey got a little rocking chair to match her room (pink and chocolate) and Zach got a nerf game for the Wii. It was a wonderful Christmas. I hope everyone was as blessed with as a wonderful day as we had. Here are a few pictures.

Special Delivery from the North Pole

Zach and Zoey had a special package arrive today from the North Pole. The package had an elf inside with a special note from Santa. The note said "Dear Zach and Zoey, I am sending one of my elf's, Andy, to watch over you during the holiday's. Andy will be giving me a full report on your behavior every night. So make sure to be good and kind to one another! Love Santa." There was a cute little elf inside with a book about the elf and why he arrived. Every night the elf fly's back to the North Pole to tell Santa how they have been acting. The next morning the elf hides in a new spot so Zach and Zoey have to find him. There is one rule though, you can not touch him, or he will lose his magic. On Christmas Day the elf will fly back to the North Pole with Santa and will come back next year. I think that Andy may be making some stops throughout the year to check on their behavior though. So I told Zach even though he doesn't see Andy after Christmas doesn't mean he is not just hiding somewhere watching him. Here is a picture of Zach with the elf that Santa sent him.

Pretend Play

Zoey is already into pretending. She is so funny. We were at my mom's a couple of weeks ago and she had a plastic play pizza and Zoey kept pretending to eat it and would say mmmmmmm. I thought she was to young to already start to pretend play. So we asked Santa for a little kitchen set with play food. Last night she made her own make shift play food. She got into one of the cabinets in kitchen and took the lid off of one of my quart jugs and she found her own idea of a spoon and was making what we thought was soup. She kept walking through the house saying mmmmmm and was trying to feed us. It was so cute I had to take some pictures.

School Christmas Program

Zach had his annual Christmas Program at school today. It was called a "Cowboy Christmas." I finally got the video to work. So here is the video along with a few pictures of Zach once we got home. He did so good. He must have some of my blood because he has some rhythm. He is front and center in the green hat.

Gingerbread House

Well, Zach and I finally thought we would try and make a gingerbread house this year. I have always wanted to make one and so I though this year he would be old enough to do it. It was a little harder than I thought it was going to be, but we had fun and it turned out pretty good. Zach had a great time decorating it.

Zoey's B-day Party

Birthday Girl!
She just loved her Rudolf. His nose would light up and his head moved back and forth. He could also talk and sing.

Giving her new Hippo loves from Grandma and Grandpa Romero.

She just LOVED her cupcake. She ate the whole thing, and was licking her fingers when she was done. I have never seen a kid devourer a cupcake like her.

The end result. She was a mess but we loved every minute of it.

Here are a few pictures from Zoey's Birthday party. She had so much fun!
