Air II

Letting the world know that Zach has starting playing basketball. For the last two days Zach and I have been hitting the court. He has made about 5 baskets each day, and is driblling really good. Don't get me wrong, he can't post me up and take me to the rack yet... give that about 10 yrs. When that day does comes he should except a hard foul and two free throws!! The video below is Zach in about 16 yrs, if he keeps me on as coach. I will keep you posted on his progress.-Travis

Zach's shot's lead to ER visit

Well, even though Zach was so brave at the Dr. office on Thursday, Friday night I noticed that his whole upper arm was extremley swollen, red, hot to the touch and was solid as a rock. I gave him an extra shot just in case he had a muscle bleed and we iced it. The next morning it had gotten a little worse so I gave him another shot and called his Dr. in Las Vegas. He said it didn't sound like a muscle bleed it sounded more like an infection. Dr. B said he would either like to see him up there or take him to the local ER and let him know what was going on. It was pretty sad that when I called Dr. Bernstein he answered his phone saying "hello Mrs. Early". That just goes to show you that he keeps me in his cell phone because he knows how I am. So we went to the ER and the DR. there said it looked like he had a bad reaction to the shots. So he put him on a steroid and said to talk to his Pediatrtion on Monday. Zach's arm is no longer red but it is still a little swollen and his whole upper arm is one big bruise. So I think it was a combo of both a bleed and a reaction to the meds. because he would not have been that bruised if it was just a reaction to the shot. So that was our fun weekend. Not much else going on.

Shot Down

Zachary got 3 shots at the doctors office to get ready for school. He got all of them in the arm and didn't even cry, just like his dad. His reward for being good was lunch at Peter Pipers, I thought a round of golf would have been better.
