Happy Easter!

We hope everybody had a wonderful Easter. We didn't do much, we went to my mom's for lunch and had an Easter egg hunter for Zach and my nephew Blake. We went and bought Zachary four little baby chick's for Easter. They are so cute. I made sure before I paid a whole $1 for them that when they got big that we could bring them back to the pet store. They said yes we could. Travis doesn't think we will need to bring them back because he is waiting for them to die. Zach just loves them. So here are a few pictures from Easter. Hope everyone is doing well.

Great News!!

Well, some great things have been going on in the Hemophilia community. I just found out the other day that they have found a cure for hemophilia! They have found the cure in mice for write now, but hopefully in the next few years this will work in humans. The cure was found by using cells (stem cells) that are collected through the umbilical cord. Unfortunately, a lot of hemophilia patients are not going to have these cells to use. The one main reason we decided to have another baby was to save the stem cells. I had done a lot of research about stem cells and the diseases that they cured. Among many diseases was a few blood diseases such as sickle cell, certain cancers and leukemia. I was hopeful that hemophilia would be on that wonderful list eventually. Now hopefully this advancement in stem cell research will help cure Zachary's hemophilia.

Spring fever

Today I called into work so I could have the day off. I told them I was taking a personnel day because I am just wore down. (Megan take note) I didn't lie and I needed the R and R. If I saw a customer today I would have wanted to kill them, I'm just not in the mood for their shit everyday. Work has been really busy with it being snowbird season . A snowbird is someone that travels to a warm spot to avoid the snow at the place they call home. A snowbird to me is a pain in the ass. They over take the city, crowding the roads, crowding where you eat, the golf course, and just treat you like crap. I think the locals should be able to hunt them! The best thing about the heat here is it drives them out of town, and it has been in the high 80's this week. (Just in case your wondering, I am still on the meds...they seem to be working great!!!)

Zach and Zoey update

Well, our little Zoey is growing up so fast. After 3 1/2 months she is finally sleeping in her own bed. Not that I wanted her to but she has finally out grown her bassinett. Her head hits the top and her feet hit the bottom. If I could keep her by my forever I would, but she just was so restless because she couldn't move anymore. She sleeps so much better in her bed. The main reason I kept her in her bassinett for so long is because her room is on the other side of the house and when she is crying in the middle of the night he seems like it takes me forever to get to her. But like I said she is sleeping a lot better. We are so lucky she is such a happy baby. She still doesn't sleep much during the day, maybe a 2 hour nap around one but for not sleeping she is so happy. I know Zach was a happy baby also but I don't remember him being this happy. It is so cute everytime she sees her daddy she grins from ear to ear. She loves him so much!! He eats it up. Of course I told him that she smiles at him so much because he is so goofy looking. HA HA. Along with her moving into her bed this last week I also tried giving her some food. I first tried peas. She hated them!!! She gaged and spit them out. So I waited a week and tonight we tried carrots. She loved them. She smiled after her first bite. So now we will slowly trying new foods for her to try and fill up her belly at night because she is still not sleeping through the night. She only gets up one time but still if we could get that one time to none that would be even better.
With the two kids it is hard to find time to do anything. Zach is finishing up basketball next week and baseball practice started last week. So he now has basketball practice on Monday's and Wednesday's and baseball practice on Thursday's. He is loving it. He is like me in that he likes to keep busy. He gets bored staying at home. He has this Saturday off from basketball but next Saturday is his first baseball game at 8:00 am and then we have to rush to his last basketball game that starts at 10:00. Good thing Zoey is feeling better because she is going to be on the go in the next few weeks. That is it for now, we will fill you in with things as they come.
