Update on Trav's School

Just thought I would update everyone on how Trav's school is going. He is taking a full loan (17 credits). He is doing well. So far he has an A in all of his classes including Chemistry!!!! He has his first Chemistry test next week, so hopefully it will continue to go well.

My school is going okay. I have to do my student teaching and then I thought I was done. I talked to my college the other day and since I haven't been enrolled in the teaching program for a year and a half, the state has added more requirements for the program. I thought I was done and I found out that I now have four more classes to take, 3 of them being sciences. I was so upset. But, there is nothing I can do but complete the classes. I am just hoping to have everything completed by spring so I can start applying for a job before the schools are out. Otherwise if I don't find a job we may be stuck here for longer than we wanted.

As far as how things are going with Travis' Chiropractic Program, he is meeting with someone from one of the colleges in Las Vegas in October. He is considering two colleges. There is Parker Chiropractic College in Dallas Texas and Western States Chiropractic in Portland. Texas has stricter guidelines for teachers so depending on my test score, that will decide if we go to Texas or not. They will accept the Arizona Teachers Exam but I have to score higher in order for them to accept the score. We have been watching the weather in Portland, and oh my gosh it is nice!! After Zach's first soccer game at 108 degrees, Portland is looking WONDERFUL!! But each place is appealing in its own way. What ever happens, happens and it is meant to be.
